Dr. Roopa Gandhi Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Roopa Gandhi’s journey in dentistry is as diverse and enriching as her life experiences. Born in India and relocating at a young age due to her father’s work, Dr. Gandhi has lived in Singapore, Brunei, and Australia. She completed her higher education and dental school at the prestigious University of Sydney, graduating with honors in 2002. Her global upbringing exposed her to a variety of cultures, religions, and languages, shaping her into a compassionate dentist who values and celebrates diversity.

After practicing as a general dentist at Westmead Hospital in NSW, Australia, where she provided care to pediatric and special needs patients, Dr. Gandhi’s passion for pediatric dentistry flourished. This led her to the University of Washington, where she completed her Pediatric Dentistry residency and received a Master’s degree in pediatric dentistry in 2008. Dr. Gandhi’s career spans over 20 years, with 16 years solely in pediatric dentistry. She has worked in various environments, from community clinics to private practices and academic hospitals.

Her profound connection with children and her expertise in special needs care led her to a decade-long tenure at Children’s Hospital Colorado. There, she served as an Associate Clinical Professor, Residency Program Director, and Director of the Special Health Care Needs Dental Clinic. During her tenure, Dr. Gandhi specialized in innovative treatments, comprehensive care, and behavioral management for patients with complex medical and dental needs.

Dr. Gandhi holds dual Diplomate status in Pediatric Dentistry and Special Care Dentistry and is actively involved in several professional boards and committees, including the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Board of Special Care Dentistry, where she is the current President Elect. She is also a member of the Editorial Board for Pediatric Dentistry.

When she isn’t helping little smiles thrive, Dr. Gandhi enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and their two fur babies. She also enjoys hot yoga, creative writing, cooking, and hiking — interests that keep her connected to her roots and open to new experiences. At Crossroads Pediatric Dentistry, she brings a unique blend of global perspective and localized care, ensuring every child’s visit is not just about dental treatment, but a holistic approach to lifelong health and growth.
